Samsung Washer UE code: Unbalanced load
The load has bunched up on one side of the drum, so the washer will not spin at full speed to protect itself. Note: on some older Samsung models dC also means unbalanced load, while on most newer models dC is a door error; check your manual.
Most common causes
- Heavy items (towels, jeans, bedding) balled up on one side
- A single bulky item such as a rug, mat or comforter washed alone
- Very small load that cannot spread out evenly
- Washer not level or rocking on the floor
- Worn suspension parts (springs or shock absorbers)
What you can safely check yourself
- Pause the cycle, untangle the clothes and spread them evenly around the drum, then resume.
- Add a few similar items when washing one heavy piece, or split very large loads.
- Check that the washer sits level and does not rock; adjust the leveling feet if needed.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
