Samsung Washer E2 code: Stuck button
The control panel reads one of its buttons as being held down continuously. The washer may not respond normally until the button releases.
Most common causes
- Button pressed in or stuck from dirt or detergent residue
- Moisture on the control panel
- Worn button membrane or display board
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn the washer off, then press and release each button one at a time, including around the edges of each button.
- Wipe the control panel with a lightly damp cloth and dry it.
- Turn the washer back on and try again.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
