Samsung Washer SUd code: Too many suds
The washer detected excess suds and paused to let them break down before continuing. Samsung notes this is not a fault by itself and the cycle usually resumes on its own.
Most common causes
- Using regular (non-HE) detergent
- Using too much detergent
- Detergent residue built up in the drum or dispenser
- Slow drain that keeps suds from clearing
What you can safely check yourself
- Let the washer finish its suds-removal routine; do not open the door.
- Use only HE detergent and measure it to the line for your load size.
- Run a Self Clean or empty hot rinse to clear built-up residue.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
