Samsung Washer 4C2 code: Water too hot / hoses reversed
Water coming in on the cold side is very hot, which usually means the hot and cold hoses are connected to the wrong inlets. The washer stops to protect your clothes; Samsung says this code alone does not mean service is needed.
Most common causes
- Hot and cold fill hoses swapped at the washer or at the faucets
- Very hot water supplied to the cold inlet
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn off both faucets and swap the hoses so hot goes to the red inlet and cold to the blue inlet.
- Turn the faucets back on, power the washer off for 2 to 3 minutes, then restart.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
