Samsung Washer 4C code: Water supply error
The washer is not getting enough water, or not getting it fast enough, to start or continue the cycle. It stops and shows this code instead of running with too little water.
Most common causes
- Water faucets behind the washer turned off or only partly open
- Kinked, pinched or frozen fill hose
- Clogged mesh screen where the fill hose connects to the washer
- Low household water pressure
- Faulty water inlet valve
What you can safely check yourself
- Make sure both hot and cold faucets behind the washer are fully open.
- Straighten any kinks in the fill hoses and make sure nothing is pressing on them.
- Turn the faucets off, unscrew the fill hoses at the washer and rinse any debris out of the small mesh screens, then reconnect snugly.
- Check that the drain hose is not pushed too far into the standpipe (Samsung recommends only about 6 to 8 inches), which can siphon water out.
- Power the washer off for a few minutes, turn it back on and restart the cycle.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
