Samsung Washer HC code: Heater error
The washer found a problem with its built-in water heater, found on many front-load models. The water may not heat as expected or may be getting too hot.
Most common causes
- Failed wash heater element
- Faulty water temperature sensor (thermistor)
- Heater relay or control board fault
- Loose heater wiring
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn the washer off for 2 to 3 minutes, then back on and try a cycle.
- Try a cold-water cycle to confirm the washer otherwise works.
