LG Washer UE code: Unbalanced load
The washer sensed that the load is lopsided in the drum and could shake too hard at high speed. It tries to rebalance and may cut the spin short, leaving clothes wet.
Most common causes
- One heavy item (rug, comforter, jeans) bunched on one side
- Load too small to spread evenly, or too large
- Washer not level or rocking on the floor
- Shipping bolts left in on a newly installed front-loader
- Worn suspension or shock parts
What you can safely check yourself
- Pause the cycle, spread the clothes evenly around the drum and restart
- Add a couple of towels to very small loads, or split very large loads
- Wash bulky items on their own on the Bulky/Bedding cycle
- Check the washer is level and all four feet touch the floor firmly
- On a new install, confirm the shipping bolts were removed
