LG Washer LE code: Motor locked / overloaded
The washer detected that the drum motor is overloaded or the tub will not turn. LG lists this code for its front-load washers.
Most common causes
- Load too heavy or packed too tightly
- An object caught between the drum and the tub
- Motor overheated after many back-to-back loads
- Loose motor wiring or a failing motor
What you can safely check yourself
- Remove part of the load and restart
- With the washer unplugged, turn the empty drum by hand to feel for anything catching
- Let the washer cool for about 30 minutes, then unplug for 10 seconds and restart
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
