LG Washer FE code: Overfill error
The washer detected more water in the tub than it should have. It tries to pump the extra water out to prevent an overflow.
Most common causes
- Water inlet valve sticking open
- Faulty water level sensor or its hose
- Heavy suds confusing the level sensor
- Control board fault
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn off both water faucets behind the washer to stop more water from coming in
- Unplug the washer for 10 seconds, plug back in and restart
- Check that you are using HE detergent in the right amount
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
