Samsung Dryer HC2 code: Gas ignition error
On gas dryers, the dryer tried to light its burner and did not detect ignition. The dryer will tumble but not heat.
Most common causes
- Gas supply to the dryer turned off or interrupted
- Failed igniter
- Failed gas valve coils or flame sensor
What you can safely check yourself
- Check whether other gas appliances in the home are working normally.
- Power the dryer off for 2 to 3 minutes, then restart.
- Do not adjust gas lines or valves yourself; if you smell gas, leave the home and call the gas company.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
