Samsung Dishwasher LC code: Leak detected
The leak sensor in the base of the dishwasher detected water. The dishwasher drains automatically and will not run until the base is dry. On Waterwall models, a blocked Waterwall reflector can also trigger it.
Most common causes
- Too much or the wrong detergent causing suds to overflow
- Leaking door gasket or loose hose connection
- Waterwall reflector blocked by a dish or utensil
- Leak from the pump, sump or tub
- Dishwasher not level
What you can safely check yourself
- Use only automatic-dishwasher detergent in the right amount; never use hand dish soap.
- On Waterwall models, make sure nothing blocks the reflector track at the back of the tub.
- Check the door seal for food debris or damage.
- Turn the power off at the breaker and let the base dry for several hours before trying again.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
