Samsung Dishwasher 1E code: Clogged filter (Waterwall) or heater overheat (rotary)
This code means different things depending on the model. On Waterwall models it means water is not passing through the filter because the filter is clogged; on rotary spray-arm models it is a high-temperature heater error.
Most common causes
- Waterwall models: clogged fine filter
- Waterwall models: food debris packed around the filter
- Rotary models: heater or temperature control fault
- Rotary models: faulty temperature sensor
What you can safely check yourself
- Waterwall models: remove and rinse the fine filter at the bottom of the tub, then reinstall it firmly.
- Rotary models: turn the power off at the breaker for 30 seconds, then empty the dishwasher, add detergent and run a Normal cycle.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
