LG Refrigerator Er CF code: Condenser fan error
The condenser fan near the compressor at the back bottom of the refrigerator is blocked or not running. Without it, the refrigerator cannot get rid of heat and cooling suffers.
Most common causes
- Dust, lint or pet hair clogging the condenser fan
- Object blocking the fan blade
- Failed condenser fan motor
- Loose wiring
What you can safely check yourself
- Unplug the refrigerator for about 5 minutes, then plug it back in
- Make sure there is space behind and around the refrigerator for airflow
- With the unit unplugged, vacuum dust from the front grille area at the bottom
