LG Dryer tE1 code: Temperature sensor error
One of the dryer's temperature sensors (thermistors) is giving a reading outside the normal range. Without accurate readings the dryer stops to stay safe.
Most common causes
- Failed thermistor
- Loose or damaged thermistor wiring
- Severe vent restriction causing overheating
- Control board fault
What you can safely check yourself
- Unplug the dryer, press and hold Start for 5 seconds, then plug it back in
- Clean the lint filter and check the vent for blockages
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
