LG Dryer HS code: Moisture sensor error
The dryer's humidity (moisture) sensor is not working correctly, so it cannot judge when clothes are dry. Sensor-dry cycles may end too early or run too long.
Most common causes
- Dryer-sheet or fabric-softener film coating the sensor bars
- Lint buildup on the sensor
- Loose sensor wiring
- Failed sensor
What you can safely check yourself
- Unplug the dryer, then wipe the metal sensor bars inside the drum near the lint filter with a damp cloth and let them dry
- Clean the lint filter
- Plug back in and run a timed cycle to test
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
