LG Dryer nP code: No power to heater
The electric dryer is not getting power to its heating element, so it tumbles but will not heat. It is usually a household power or wiring issue.
Most common causes
- One side of the 240V dryer breaker tripped
- Loose or failing dryer outlet or power cord
- Wiring problem at the dryer terminal block
- Open heater circuit inside the dryer
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn the dryer breaker fully off, wait about 10 seconds and turn it back on
- Make sure the plug is fully seated in the outlet
- Confirm the dryer is on its own 240V circuit
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
