LG Dryer dE code: Door open error
The dryer thinks the door is not fully closed, so it will not start or it stops mid-cycle.
Most common causes
- Clothing caught in the door
- Lint filter not fully pushed in
- Door out of alignment or worn latch
- Faulty door switch
What you can safely check yourself
- Open the door, clear any clothing from the opening and close it firmly
- Push the lint filter all the way into its slot
- Unplug the dryer, hold Start for 5 seconds, plug back in and try again
