The dryer lost power during a cycle, for example during an outage, and stopped.
Most common causes
- Power outage or brief flicker
- Tripped breaker
- Loose plug or failing outlet
What you can safely check yourself
- Unplug the dryer, press and hold Start for about 5 seconds, plug back in and restart
- Check that the dryer breaker has not tripped
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
