Whirlpool Washer F7E5 code: Shifter fault (top-load)
On top-load washers, the control cannot confirm the position of the shifter, the part that switches the drive between agitating and spinning. The washer usually stops mid-cycle, often with water still in the tub.

- Drive mechanism binding from an overloaded basket
