Samsung Refrigerator OF OF code: Cooling Off (demo) mode
The refrigerator is in Cooling Off, or showroom demo, mode. The lights and display work but it does not cool. This is a setting, not a failure.
Most common causes
- Demo mode left on from the store
- Button combination pressed accidentally
What you can safely check yourself
- Press and hold the top two buttons on the left side of the control panel (three buttons on some newer models) for 5 to 8 seconds until it chimes.
- Check your owner's manual for your model's exact button combination.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
