Samsung Refrigerator 22E code: Fridge fan error
The fan that circulates cold air in the fresh-food section is not turning as expected. This is often caused by ice around the fan after a door was left open.
Most common causes
- Ice buildup around the fridge evaporator fan after a door was left open
- Door not sealing, letting in humid air
- Failed fridge evaporator fan motor
- Loose fan wiring
What you can safely check yourself
- Make sure the doors close fully and the gaskets seal.
- Move food to a cooler, unplug the refrigerator and leave the doors open for several hours so any ice can melt (place towels for water).
- Plug it back in, close the doors and watch whether the code returns.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
