KitchenAid Dishwasher F8E5 code: Fill valve stuck open
Water keeps coming into the dishwasher when it should have stopped. This can overflow, so the dishwasher sounds an alarm and tries to drain.

- Water inlet valve stuck open by debris
- Failed inlet valve
- Control fault
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher.
- Press Cancel once to silence the alarm and keep the door closed; leave the power on so it can keep draining.
- If you cannot reach the water shutoff, switch off power to the dishwasher instead.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
