The dishwasher detected excess foam, which can spill out and trigger leak protection.
Most common causes
- Hand dish soap used instead of dishwasher detergent
- Too much liquid detergent
- Rinse aid spilled into the tub or set too high
What you can safely check yourself
- Switch to dishwasher powder, tablets or pods and measure correctly
- Wipe up any spilled rinse aid and lower the rinse aid setting
- Run a rinse cycle with no detergent to clear leftover suds
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
