LG Dishwasher AE code: Leak detected
Water has collected in the base under the tub and lifted the leak float switch. The dishwasher stops to protect your floor.
Most common causes
- Too many suds from hand dish soap or too much detergent
- Dirty or damaged door gasket
- Dishwasher not level
- Blocked or damaged spray arm, or large items deflecting water at the door
- Leaking hose or part inside the unit
What you can safely check yourself
- Use only dishwasher detergent (never hand dish soap) and do not overfill the dispenser
- Wipe food off the door gasket and check it for tears
- Make sure the dishwasher is level
- Check that spray arms spin freely and large items are loaded so they do not spray water at the door
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
