GE Dishwasher C1 code: Slow drain

Most common causes

1. Partly clogged drain hose or sink air gap
2. Food buildup in the garbage disposal the dishwasher drains into
3. Kinked or sagging drain hose
4. Debris in the drain pump or drain valve

What you can safely check yourself

1. Run the garbage disposal to clear the shared drain line.
2. Clean the air gap on the sink deck, if you have one.
3. Check under the sink that the drain hose isn't kinked or pinched.
4. Clean the dishwasher filter and the sump area at the bottom of the tub.

Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
