Frigidaire Washer E5 code: Washer not level (top-load)
On Frigidaire top-load washers, E5 means the unit is not level.
Most common causes
- Leveling legs not adjusted
- Uneven or soft floor
- Washer leaning backward or bumped out of position
What you can safely check yourself
- Place a level on top of the washer and adjust the front legs until it sits level and doesn't rock.
- Tighten the lock nuts on the legs once it's level.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
