Frigidaire Washer E2 code: Slow drain (top-load)
On Frigidaire top-load washers, E2 means water is taking too long to drain or isn't draining properly.
Most common causes
- Kinked drain hose
- Clogged drain hose
- Standpipe too high or drain hose installed incorrectly
- Lid not closed
What you can safely check yourself
- Straighten any kinks in the drain hose behind the washer.
- Clear any clog from the drain hose.
- Make sure the lid is closed before pressing Start/Pause.
- Check that the breaker or fuse for the washer is on.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
