Frigidaire Washer E1 code: Slow fill or no water (top-load)
On Frigidaire top-load washers, E1 means water isn't coming in, or is filling too slowly.
Most common causes
- Water faucets closed or only partly open
- Low water pressure
- Kinked fill hoses
- Clogged screens in the fill hoses or inlet
- Lid open during the fill
What you can safely check yourself
- Make sure the lid is closed.
- Open both hot and cold faucets all the way.
- Straighten any kinked fill hoses.
- Turn the water off, unscrew the hoses and rinse debris from the small screens, then reconnect.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
