Bosch Dishwasher E15 code: Water in the base (leak protection)
A float switch in the pan under the dishwasher detected water, so the AquaStop leak protection shut off the water supply. It means water got where it shouldn't, from a leak or overflow inside the machine.
Most common causes
- Leaking door seal or gasket
- Leaking hose or inlet valve
- Too much suds from the wrong detergent
- Crack or damage to the tub or sump
What you can safely check yourself
- Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher and unplug it. Water sitting in the base pan has to be drained and the leak found, which is a job for a technician because the dishwasher has to be pulled out of the cabinet.
- Use only dishwasher detergent, never dish soap.
- Check the door seal for tears or debris.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
