Whirlpool Dishwasher F9E2 code: Drain motor error
The control detected a problem with the drain pump motor, so the dishwasher may not be able to pump out water.
Most common causes
- Drain blocked by food or a disposer knockout plug
- Kinked drain hose
- Drain pump jammed or failed
- Control fault
What you can safely check yourself
- On a new install, confirm the disposer knockout plug was removed.
- Run the disposer and check the drain hose for kinks.
- Reset the control: unplug the dishwasher (or switch off its breaker if it is hard-wired) for 30 seconds, then restore power.
