Whirlpool Dishwasher F7E2 code: Wash motor error
On current models the control detected a problem with the wash (circulation) motor. On some older models F7E2 relates to the heating element control instead.
Most common causes
- Wash motor jammed by debris or glass
- Loose motor wiring
- Failed wash motor or control board
What you can safely check yourself
- Reset the control: unplug the dishwasher (or switch off its breaker if it is hard-wired) for 30 seconds, then restore power.
- Clean the filter area and remove any broken glass or debris you can see.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
