Whirlpool Dryer L2 code: Low or no line voltage
The dryer is not getting the full supply voltage it needs to heat. The drum still turns, but clothes will not get hot or dry.
Most common causes
- One of the two breakers for an electric dryer is tripped
- Blown household fuse
- Loose or incorrectly installed power cord
- Low voltage at the outlet
What you can safely check yourself
- Check the breaker panel; electric dryers use a double breaker and both halves must be on.
- Switch the breaker(s) off for one minute, back on, and run a timed dry cycle.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
