Frigidaire Refrigerator OP code: Temperature sensor fault
When OP or SH shows in the fridge or freezer temperature display, the temperature sensor for that compartment is reading open (OP) or shorted (SH). Frigidaire says this needs authorized service.
Most common causes
- Failed fridge or freezer temperature sensor
- Loose or damaged sensor wiring
- Control board not reading the sensor correctly
What you can safely check yourself
- Unplug the fridge for a few minutes, then plug it back in to see if the code clears.
- Keep an eye on food temperatures until it's repaired.
