Frigidaire Refrigerator H code: High temperature alarm
The fridge or freezer got warmer than a safe level. Frigidaire's alarm triggers at about 55°F in the fridge or 26°F in the freezer. It often follows a door left open or a power outage.
Most common causes
- Door left open or not sealing
- Recent power outage
- A large amount of warm food added at once
- Cooling problem such as a failed fan, dirty condenser coils or a defrost fault
What you can safely check yourself
- Close the doors and check that the gaskets seal all the way around.
- Press Alarm Reset or Clear Alerts to silence the alarm. It stays active until the temperature recovers.
- Give it a few hours to cool back down after an outage or restock.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
