Frigidaire Oven / Range F30 code: Oven temperature sensor fault
The control is getting a bad reading from the oven temperature sensor, the probe inside the oven that measures its heat. F30 means the sensor circuit is open and F31 means it is shorted. The oven can't regulate its temperature until this is fixed.
Most common causes
- Failed oven temperature sensor
- Loose, frayed or burned wiring or connector at the sensor
- Control board not reading the sensor correctly
What you can safely check yourself
- Reset the range by turning off its circuit breaker (or unplugging it) for about 30 seconds.
- Check that the sensor probe on the back wall inside the oven isn't bent or touching the oven wall.
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
