LG Oven / Range F9 code: Oven not heating properly
LG lists F9 as the (upper) oven not heating properly: the oven did not warm up as expected, for example not passing about 150°F within a few minutes of preheating.
Most common causes
- Failed bake or broil element (electric) or weak igniter (gas)
- Faulty oven temperature sensor
- Loose or burnt wiring connection
- Control board relay not sending power
What you can safely check yourself
- Press Clear/Off and try the cooking function again
- Turn the range's circuit breaker off for 30 seconds, then back on
- Make sure the oven door is fully closed while preheating
Unplug the appliance before moving or cleaning anything. Do not open panels, touch gas connections or bypass safety switches.
