| E01 E02 | Lint filter blocked The lint filter is clogged and needs to be cleaned. Note: Bosch lists E02 as a lint filter code on some dryers and as a control relay fault on others. If cleaning the filter doesn't clear E02, it needs service. |
| E03 | Condensate drain hose blocked On Bosch condensation dryers, the hose that carries away collected water is blocked or kinked. |
| E04 | Dryer overloaded The drum is too full for air to move through the laundry. |
| E12 | Overheating from restricted airflow The dryer is overheating because air can't move through it freely. On heat pump models, Bosch also connects this code to buildup in the heat pump. |
| E16 | Door opened during cycle The dryer door was opened while the cycle was running, so the dryer stopped. |
